Benchmark Automation & Controls was selected to provide engineering, design and installation for the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building Operating System (EBO) for the Von Paris Moving & Storage facility. Located in Savage, Maryland, the two-story facility includes a lower level office space and warehouse storage, while the upper level consists of offices and conference rooms.

Project Details

To maximize the building’s efficiency, Benchmark Automation & Controls installed and integrated a state-of-the-art DDC controls to the building’s existing mechanical equipment. The newly installed equipment included Open-Protocol VAV controllers, BACnet integration of Rooftop HVAC units, BACnet integration of Air Handler units, including humidity control for warehouse storage areas and a BACnet integration of Multi-Zone Unit with VVT zone controllers.

The facility equipment operation, scheduling, alarm monitoring and notification is monitored by the building owner utilizing the state-of-the art SmartX Display which can be monitored utilizing a standard web browser.

Benchmark Automation & Controls completed the project in June 2018, meeting all budgetary and time requirements. Because of the new technology, Von Paris experienced an energy savings of 30% over the last year of operation.
