Brian Smedley

Vice President

As Vice President, Brian Smedley's primary focus is to provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of Benchmark Automation & Controls (Benchmark). In this role, he provides sales guidance, spearheads strategic growth initiatives, and works closely with team members to promote a strong culture focused on safely installing and servicing integrated and intelligent building management systems.

A graduate of the York Technical Institute, Brian first started as an HVAC Service Technician in 1994. Over the subsequent decades, he has developed a thorough understanding of energy management, building automation, and mechanical systems.

In the early 2000s, Brian joined and made pivotal contributions to the Business Development team at Fidelity Mechanical Services, and was instrumental in the launch of Benchmark. Throughout his career, Brian has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to continuous learning and setting new challenges for himself, reflected in his acquisition of a certificate in Executive Leadership from Cornell University.
